Using an cream treatment is arguably the most popular method of treating acne. It's ease of use and apparent effectiveness make using an cream treatment very attractive. I say "apparent" because, even though it does make your seem to fade, it does nothing to treat the root cause of the condition.
Your cream treatment contains a combination of cleansers and antiseptics that remove excess sebum oil, along with other dirt and oils, and kill the excess P-acne bacteria that have been breeding in the sebum oil. This usually causes your skin condition to clear (at least, somewhat), and your seems to disappear.
As you probably know, however, it's only a matter of time until it's back! The cream treatment has only attacked half of the problem (the part that you can see), and done nothing to treat the root cause, which is internal.
In most people, the presence of is actually a symptom of a much deeper problem. For some reason their body is out of balance, either chemically or hormonally. Hormonal imbalances most often occur as we transition from childhood to adults. In these cases, an cream treatment is probably the best option, as the imbalance is temporary and will normally go away on it's own as you mature.
Chemical imbalances, however, are both long term and (here's the important part) treatable.
The most common cause of a chemical imbalance is environmental. Virtually everything we eat or drink contains chemicals as preservatives or anti-bacterial agents used to keep processed foods safe. In addition, many use dyes and other chemicals to make their products more attractive to the eye. The fact of the matter is, everyday foods that we consume contain over three hundred chemicals that didn't even exist 50 years ago. Thinking that you can put all of these chemicals into your body without producing any side effects is absurd.
Your body's natural reaction to all this is to remove the chemicals and regain it's "natural balance". In some people, the body will emulsify the chemicals in fat and store them (Have you seen very many fat people with acne?). Those of us with have bodies that use a different method.
Our bodies are getting rid of these toxins by secreting them through the skin in sebum oil and perspiration. Sebum oil is a natural oil that, in normal amounts, serves to keep our skin soft and pliable. Unfortunately, it's also a perfect breeding ground for the P-acne bacteria. This bacteria is also found on the skin of us all, and, in normal amounts, helps to defend us from other, more harmful, bacteria.
The problem arises when the levels of toxins within become excessive. Your body will then go into overdrive and push them out using more and more sebum oil. This causes the P-acne bacteria to locate and use these larger amounts of oil to reproduce to a level that your skin will find intolerable. The next thing you know...ACNE!
Your cream treatment should do a good job of ridding your face of the sebum oil and P-acne bacteria that is present when you use it, but it will do nothing to treat the underlying problem...toxins in your body. It may, indeed, provide you with a temporary solution, but to cure your acne, you must treat the internal condition, as well. Your cream treatment cannot do that!
To be free, you must help your body to regain the "natural balance" that it needs. That doesn't mean that you need to stop using your cream treatment, it simply means you need to do more. Find a way to rid your body of the toxins and chemicals that are the root cause of your acne. Once you accomplish this, your will go away, and stay away, naturally!
