What is the Best Acne Cure Or Treatment?
By D. Thomas Webb

Before we can discuss the best cure or treatment, you must understand that is your body's way of telling you something else is wrong on the inside. Something is out of balance, and the formation of is a result of your body's efforts to regain that balance.

It was once thought that all was caused by a genetic defect that made your body secrete too much sebum oil, a natural oil that keeps your skin from drying out. Unfortunately, sebum oil is also a perfect breeding ground for the P-acne bacteria, the primary cause of your outbreaks. When sebum is present in abnormally large amounts, the bacteria breeds to abnormal levels, and, well, you get the idea.

More recent studies have shown that excess sebum oil can be secreted for a number of reasons, not just your genetic make-up. If you suffer from acne, chances are that the root cause is actually something that can be treated, and, sometimes, completely cured.

Hormonal normally arrives with adolescence. Our body goes through major hormonal changes as we leave childhood and start our journey to adulthood. In these cases, there isn't much we can do about the causes, but we can take pleasure in knowing that, once the supercharged hormonal activity passes, so, most likely, will the acne. In the meantime, the best treatment or cure will be topical. Washing and moisturizing effected areas will help to remove the excess sebum oil, and over-the-counter treatments that help control the P-acne bacteria will usually control breakouts. At the very least, the outbreaks will be far less severe.

When does not go away naturally once you have passed through adolescence, the root cause is most likely environmental. You are putting something in your body that is toxic and your body is reacting by attempting to eliminate it through your skin. It could be something as simple as a food allergy, and, if so, simply eliminating that food from your diet will cure the problem. we see this mostly in milk and dairy products, as well as processed carbohydrates, such as sugar and white bread.

Most often, however, the root causes  one of the thirty, or so, toxins and chemicals found in our bodies that didn't even exist 50 years ago. They come in with the processed foods we eat, among other things, and cause an internal chemical imbalance that your body will immediately attempt to correct.

In some people, the body will emulsify the toxins in fat and store them. That's why you see very few fat people with acne. Their body is handling the toxins by keeping them inside, stored in fat tissue.

Acne sufferers, however, have bodies that remove these toxins by secreting them through the skin in sebum oil and perspiration. More sebum equals more P-acne bacteria, and, well, there you go...

In this case, the best cure or treatment is actually two-fold. As with any acne, washing and moisturizing the effected area is critical to controlling outbreaks. This is not a cure, by any means, but a true help in maintaining a healthy looking complexion.

We must, also, attack the from the inside. We can make certain dietary and lifestyle changes that will reduce the amounts of chemicals and toxins we ingest. This is a very effective treatment, but will require a long-term commitment on your part.

In our view, the best cure or treatment in this situation is actually holistic in nature. There are many antioxidant and antibiotic supplements widely available that will actually help your body to expel the harmful toxins through natural means. Taking these supplements and following a strict cleansing schedule (at least twice a day) can show amazing results in a very short time.
