There is so much information out there; in magazines, bookstore, all over the internet and on and on regarding how to treat acne. Finally, we are writing to give you the best and most effective tips to treating and keeping it under control forever.

Of course, you must determine if you have mild, moderate or severe acne, then apply whichever methods would work for you. Again, depending on the severity of your acne, one tip may work better than the other. But what you can be sure of, is the information you are about to read will help you. It's not hype. It will help you alleviate the problem that you are dealing with.

1. Change your diet to treat - Most of the dermatologists that you speak to will more than likely agree and relate to you that eating fried foods, chocolate and other foods that may be known to exacerbate acne, just does not affect it at all. Although the relation between eating certain foods and cannot be scientifically proven, what can be proven is that not having certain vitamins in your diet will affect it. Foods rich in vitamin A, E, Selenium and Zinc are very important for you to add to a well balanced diet. Also, drink plenty of pure water and eat fruits and vegetables, preferably raw when you want to treat acne. Finally, if you add some form of exercise at least 3 times a week, you will get your blood moving and getting more oxygen into your blood, your body will have the tools to help fight this condition.

2. Correct Medications - Many over the counter medications are good for clearing up acne, but just make sure you know what you are looking for and buying. Remember, you can always ask the pharmacist and they will assist you as long as you know what you're looking for. Also, what is very  important is to know what type of skin you actually have before you begin to try and treat acne. There are many ointments, gels and creams which are available which contain ingredients that are very effective when you want to treat acne. Many of them contain benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic acid. These are both very effective ingredients to help eliminate acne.

3. Herbs and Homeopathic Remedies - In the last few years, alternative medicines and remedies have become very popular. Many of them are very effective in alleviating and its outbreaks as well as not being detrimental to your health. When you are dealing with this form of alternative medicines or teas, be aware that certain ones may work for you and others may not. Perhaps there is an herbal or homeopathic doctor in your area which could direct you to remedies which are very effective and would be right for you and help you treat acne.

If you follow the above regimen you will more than likely, eliminate or control your condition. Although this is true, if your condition does not come under control, it would then be best to see your family doctor or dermatologist.
